Queen of Walking

After her success with Miss Granny, a box-office record breaker which spawned numerous remakes across the globe, the loveable Shim Eun-kyung stars in one of the funniest comedies of the year, Queen of Walking.  Helmed by Baek Seung-hwa, this coming-of-age charmer tells the story of an unambitious schoolgirl in rural Korea who lives an unusual life thanks to motion sickness.

Due to suffering from extreme nausea when taking all forms of transport, high school student Man-bok (Shim) must make an arduous two hour journey to and from school on foot. Exhausted she sleeps through her classes and as a result is picked on by fellow students.

Learning of her pupil’s difficult commute, homeroom teacher encourages Man to join the school’s track and field team where she’s assigned to the race walking squad.  Man-bok however struggles to keep up and becomes a burden to Suji (insert actor name), her walking partner. Hurt and discouraged, she takes some time away from training. But when Man-bok decides to return, she brings with her a change of spirit and discovers a passion she never knew she had.
