Continuing his run of box office successes, the ever consummate Kim Myung-min impresses with yet another dynamic performance in the legal drama Proof of Innocence. With its theme of corruption amongst the rich and powerful, this Kwon Jong-kwan-helmed entertainer boasts a stellar cast including Kim Sang-ho, Sung Dong-il and Kim Young-ae. A riveting crime investigation with a humorous touch, the movie has seen notable success at the box office.


Policeman Pil-jae (Kim Myung-min) was known as a model officer. That’s until he was betrayed by his closest friend which resulted in him being dishonorably discharged from the force. Now he works as a legal broker and partnering with prosecutor-turned-lawyer Pan-soo (Sung), helps criminals and those accused of crime escape or lessen their sentence.


One day, Pil-jae receives a letter requesting his help in a murder case. Not just any murder but the high profile and horrifying death of a woman from a prominent family. The appeal has come from Kwon Soon-tae (Kim Sang-ho), a prisoner on death row who claims to have been framed for the killing. Pil-jae decides to take on the case, initially to exact revenge on the senior officer leading the police investigation. But when he delves into the evidence that put his client behind bars, he discovers a conspiracy that runs deeper than he could ever have imagined.
