Synopsis:

Koki Mitani (The Magic Hour, Galaxy Turnpike) is regarded by many as Japan’s master of film comedies, numerous of which originated in the theatre. His latest project, a political comedy about a prime minister who loses his memory, is more than set to cement his reputation. The film stars Kiichi Nakai (47 Ronin, Warriors of Heaven and Earth), model, musician and actor Dean Fujioka (Summer’s Tale) and essayist and actress Yuriko Ishida (Princess Mononoke).

Keisuke Kuroda (Nakai) wakes up in a hospital bed and is unable to remember who he is. Sneaking out of the hospital, he happens to see the television news which reveals him as Japan’s prime minister, albeit with the lowest-ever approval rating. It turns out that his memory loss is the result of being hit by a rock when making a speech. When he arrives at his official residence the only people who know of his amnesia are his three secretaries and he even hides it from his wife (Ishida). But now he must get back to business and begins to think about making changes to his country.
