Directing the film is Masayuki Suzuki, known for his numerous hits including the popular HERO series. Packed with humor, dynamic action and unexpected surprises at every turn, audiences of all ages will enjoy this spectacular historical epic.

On a whim, Mayuko Kuramoto (Haruka Ayase) checks into the nostalgic “Honnouji Hotel” which is tucked away on the backstreets of Kyoto. Little does she know that the hotel serves as a mysterious portal into feudal era Japan. She is transported into 1582, the Sengoku Period, when the very lives of ordinary citizens existed at the mercy of cruel feudal lords.With the unification of Japan within his grasp, the infamous and powerful warlord, Nobunaga Oda (Shinichi Tsutsumi), and a few of his loyal retainers, including Ranmaru Mori (Gaku Hamada), have taken up residence in Kyoto’s Honnouji Temple. Mayuko stumbles into the temple, as a strangely dressed woman from another world, 400 years into the future. Confused and lost, she is guided by Nobunaga around the streets of Kyoto. As she gets to know this enigmatic man, she cannot help but be drawn to his courage and humanity.

Mayuko begins to grasp the reality that she has slipped into 1582 on the eve of the most famous event in Japanese history, the Honnouji Incident. One by one, she becomes a witness to history, finally learning why Nobunaga’s trusted general, Mitsuhide Akechi (Masahiro Takashima), betrays him and launches his own coup d’etat. 400 years after the Honnouji Incident, the secrets buried in the greatest mystery in Japanese history will finally be revealed!
