(新唐伯虎點秋香)

Synopsis:

The 1993 comedy Flirting Scholar, which was directed by Hong Kong’s comedy king Stephen Chow, forms the inspiration for Flirting Scholar from the Future. Directed by Aman Chang (Flirting in the Air, Let’s Go for Love), the film stars a number of Hong Kong’s leading acting talents including Benny Chan (Iceman, The Incredible Monk), Dominic Ho (The Gigolo, Flirting in the Air) and Lam Tze Chung (Kung Fu Hustle, Shaolin Soccer).

Tiger Wong (Chan), Lambert Ho (Ho) and Skinny Pig (Lam) are childhood friends who grew up watching Flirting Scholar. They are massive fans of the film and are familiar with every line of the script. When they grow up, Tiger becomes a police detective, Lambert a valet and Skinny Pig an inventor. Skinny Pig invents a time machine and the three friends soon find themselves trapped inside the Flirting Scholar film. Hearing that the scholar Tang has run away, the trio decide to trick their way into the Wah household in order to get close to Autumn and her handmaidens.
