Hotel Soul Good

Helmed by Anthony Yan Pak-wing (Full Strike, 2015), this endearing comedy centres around a young woman who after suffering a cosmic accident discovers she can see ghosts.  Packed with humour, Hotel Soul Good features a stellar cast of top Hong Kong comic actors including Chrissie Chau (Marriage with a Liar, 2010), Louis Cheung (Ip Man 3, 2015), Richard Ng (My Lucky Stars, 1985), Eric Kot (You Shoot I Shoot, 2001) and Maggie Shiu (PTU, 2003).

Orphan Mei Qi (Chau) has always dreamt of being successful.  Age 30, she’s well on her way to reaching her goal and is a senior executive in a luxury hotel.  But it appears luck is no longer on her side as her best friend betrays her, stealing both her job and her boyfriend.  Making things worse, she’s then hit by fragments of a meteor shower which knock her unconscious.  Waking from a coma, Mei discovers that her world is populated not only with humans but ghosts, all of whom are equally visible and audible to her.

Fortunately, the ghosts (Eric Kot, Maggie Siu, Richard Ng) are a friendly bunch and attach themselves to her. And for the first time in her life, Mei has caring companions.  Ones who dispense important life lessons as well as help her run a small hotel, which becomes a social media sensation thanks to the presence of her very welcoming spirit buddies.
