Written, directed and produced by Antony Chan (“A Fishy Story”, 1989), “The House of the Rising Sons” is based on the true story of the legendary band, “The Wynners” which is formed by Alan Tam (played by Eugene Tang), Kenny Bee (played by Tan), Benette Pang (played by Carlos Chan; “Happiness”, 2016), Danny Yip (played by Lam Yiu Sing; “Weeds On Fire”, 2016) and Antony Chan himself (played by Him Ng). The story follows the journey of the band as they chase their dreams of making music. The spectacular supporting cast of Simon Yam (“Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life”, 2003), Kara Wai (“The Bold, the Corrupt, and the Beautiful”, 2017), Elaine Jin (“Mad World”, 2016), Liu Kai Chi (“Shock Wave”, 2017) and Chin Siu Ho (“Fist of Legend”, 1994) brings unforgettable performances. The film is the official selection of the 2018 New York Asian Film Festival.

Six young men discover their passion for music and form “The Wynners” band - Kin(Carlos Chan) on guitar, Keung (Lam Yiu Sing)on bass, Nat (Jonathan Wong)on keyboard, Yau (Him Ng)on drums, duo Alan (Eugene Tang)and Bee (Tan)as the lead vocalists. The boys begin their journey in music and manage to win a qualifying round in a popular music competition. However, the band later undergoes changes and each member leaves the band for their own reasons. Years later, the boys reunion; and their passion for music and friendship become stronger than ever.
