2017 (54th) Golden Horse Award- Best Action Choreography

Renowned martial master Sammo Hung (“Ip Man”, 2009) and director Wilson Yip (“Ip Man”, 2009) teamed up again to produce “Paradox” which was one of the most anticipated action films of 2017.  The story of the film revolved around a Hong Kong cop who was in a quest to find his daughter who went missing in Thailand.  Packed with suspense and actions, the film gathered an all-star cast with the talents of Louis Koo (“Drug War”, 2012), Tony Jaa (“Furious 7”, 2015), Wu Yue (“Police Story 2013”, 2013) and Gordon Lam (“Trivisa”, 2016).  In China, the film immediately hit the box office and grossed about USD32million during its opening weekend and has accumulated to USD80million currently.

Hong Kong cop Lee (Louis Koo) collaborated with Thai Chinese police officer Chui-Kit (Wu Yue) and Tak (Tony Jaa) to search for his daughter Chi (Hanna Chan) who went missing in Thailand.  As they investigated further and got closer to the truth, they realized that the case was more complicated than they expected, and the mastermind behind the scene was not someone they could deal with.
