In the new fantasy film, “MEOW”, Louis Koo (“The White Storm”, 2013) re-united with director Benny Chan (“New Police Story”, 2004; “The White Storm”, 2013) to create a family comedy that revolves around an alien called Xixili with a cat appearance.  MEOW was produced on a budget of over USD14.5 million with high-end special effects featuring the adorable Xixili.  Through Xixili, the big fat cat alien, the film reflects the realities of a modern family in a comedic way.  Each family member has his/her own problems and yet it is the love and caring of the other family members that brings the family together.  It also brought out messages to the viewers to love and respect animals.  MEOW is a fun family drama which would bring joy to the viewers throughout the film.

MEOW, a highly intelligent alien from a far-away planet has been planning to conquer earth to take over humans.  They have adorable cat appearances and often become beloved pets of human beings.  Many of them lived like kings and queens in the human homes as the humans served them with endless food.  Since the MEOW king lost contact with the MEOWs that he previously sent to earth, this time he sent the best warrior Xixili to earth.  However, the plan went off track as Xixili became a big fat cat and was immediately adopted and settled in a loving human family in Hong Kong.
