The real-life story of legendary Hong Kong gangster Chan Shun-chi is told in this gritty story of delinquency and redemption. Brought to the big screen by Lawrence Lau, best known for his movies “Gangs” and “Besieged City”,  “Dealer/Healer” features a star-studded cast, featuring Lau Ching-wan, Louis Koo, and Jiang Yi-yan.

Chan Shun-chi (Lau Ching-wan) was once the notorious leader of the hoodlum gang, The 13 Tsz Wan Shan. Having moved into drug dealing, Chan pushes his girlfriend, Carol (Jiang Yi-yan), to the brink of prostitution. Enticed by the lawless world of Kowloon City’s slums, Chan soon finds himself caught in a double-dealing trap, targeted by a gang leader named Harley (Louis Koo). When he finally finds himself landing in prison, Hau finds redemption and repents of his wayward life.

Now back on his feet, Chan begins working with a former client, Lau (Patrick Tam), to run a rehab program. As he forges a close friendship with Harley, he also becomes a mediator for the triad world and is selected for a humanitarian award for his outstanding social work. But though Chan has become adept at fixing others’ problems, he has yet to solve the problem of his crumbling marriage, a conflict that has plagued him all his life. Will he be able to find peace in his own personal life?
