LORD OF SHANGHAI, directed by visionary director and protégé of Francis Ford Coppola Sherwood Hu (Amazing, Lanai-Loa, Lanling Wang). Starring Yu Nan (The Expendables 2), Hu Jun (The Bodyguards), Qin Hao (Crosscurrent) and Rhydian Vaughan (My Best Friend's Wedding). This movie is the adaptation of the best-selling novel “The Concubine of Shanghai” by Hong Ying which sold over 500,000 copies worldwide.

In 1907, 15-year-old Xiao Yuegui (Li meng) is a servant girl and loved by Chang Lixiong (Hu Jun), the head of Hong Men. However, Chang was sold out by a traitor and was killed in a mission of protecting Huang Peiyu (Qin Hao) from Tong Meng Hui. After that Huang becomes the head of Hong Men and helps Xiao who is pregnant and an opera actress to become a super star in Shanghai in 1913. Later, Xiao (Yu Nan) finds out that Huang was the traitor during that time when she falls in love with Huang. Finally, she killed Huang with the help from Chang’s assistant Yu Qiyang (Rhydian Vaughan) and supports him to become the new head of Hong Men, who is called “King of Shanghai”.
