Kung Fu Yoga

Kung Fu Yogais the latest pairing of actor Jackie Chan and director Stanley Tong. The two veteran filmmakers, who previously collaborated on such blockbusters as “First Strike”, “Police Story 3: Super Cop” and “Rumble in the Bronx”, present yet another swashbuckling tale.  Travelling from the high plateaus of western China to the modern Middle East and ancient India, this big-budget Indian/Chinese co-production is a rollicking good rollercoaster of a ride packed with action, adventure and delicious intrigue.

Jack (Chan), a renowned archeology professor at the Terracotta Warriors Museum in Xi’an, teams up with Indian professor Ashmita and her assistant Kyra in search of India’s lost Magadha treasure. Jack’s assistants Xiaoguang (Lay Zhang) and Nuomin (Mu Qimiya) accompany them.

They are later joined by Jones Lee (Aarif Rahman) whose father was Jack’s old friend. With new information and GPS the group locates the treasure, along with the lost Maghada army that had protected it, buried in an ice cave.

As they rejoice over their precious find, they are suddenly ambushed by Randall (Sonu Sood) a descendent of a rebel army leader who claims a right to the royal booty. During the scuffle, Lee snatches a large diamond from the cave and flees, leaving Jack and his team trapped inside the frozen tomb.

Using yoga breathing techniques, Jack and Ashmita escape the cavern through an icy river and return to free the others. Defeated, Ashmita and Kyra return to India; Jack, Xiaoguang and Nuomin travel to Dubai where the diamond is now being auctioned. However retrieving the stolen gem appears to be no easy task.
