The Yuppie Fantasia 3

In this third episode of about the mishaps of an emotionally pathetic man who feels emasculated by his bossy wife (played by Carol “Dodo” Cheng Yu-ling), celebrated comedy king Lawrence Cheng revisits the underdog role that launched his acting career. Back in his element once again, Cheng writes, directs and stars in this film after recently emerging from a 20-year hiatus.

Now at 52 years old, Leung Foon (Lawrence Cheng) is no longer the lame yuppie he once was. He’s now made it big time in his career, despite his past timidity and lack of gumption. As a middle-aged man who now knows how to enjoy life, he looks back on his sorry existence, and concludes that there were three major events in his hen-pecked past: Meeting his wife, Ann, marrying her, and being deserted by Ann, who took custody of their eight-year-old daughter. But now, he has a respectable lifestyle, having earned enough money to retire early, and is as carefree as can be – at least, that’s what he tells himself in the mirror. One day, Leung wakes up with yet another hangover, only to discover a stunning beauty at his door. The now-grown HeHe (Larine Tang) promptly announces to her dad that she is moving in with him! Leung finds himself frequently visited by the spirit of his unpleasant wife, who had apparently drowned. Harangued by Ann’s bossy ghost and baffled by his sexy daughter, who is constantly ogled by Leung’s testosterone-driven buddies, Leung reassembles his unraveling dignity and once tries once again to be a better man!
