Synopsis:

Director Sho Tsukikawa (The 100th Love with You”, 2017) brought the audience his latest emotional masterpiece, Let Me Eat Your Pancreas”.  This tear-jerker was based on the best-selling novel of the same name written by Yoru Sumino.  The movie unfolded along the dual time axis of present and past to account a high school girl’s journey in fighting pancreatic cancer and how she became an inspiration to her friends.  With the solid acting performance of Shun Oguri (Gintama”, 2017), Keiko Kitagawa (Hero”, 2015), Minami Hamabe (Crying Out Love In the Center of the World”, 2004), and Takumi Kitamura (Sing My Life”, 2016); this movie certainly became one of the most moving and heartwarming sensation of 2017.

A high school boy called “I”(Takumi KItamura), accidentally discovered a secret diary of his classmate Sakura (Minami Hamabe) ; and learnt about Sakura’s journey in fighting pancreatic cancer.  Although Sakura eventually lost her battle to the illness, her bravery and positive attitude to live life to the fullest during her fight became an inspiration to “I”(Shun Oguri) and her best friend Kyoto (Keiko Kitagawa).
