Synopsis:

Similar to the Japanese geishas, the gisaeng in Korea were highly trained artistic women who entertained upper-class men with music, conversation and poetry. It is, however, the more unusual topic of a male gisaeng which director Nam Dae-joong (The Last Ride) tackles in Homme Fatale and which stars Lee Jun-ho (Rose and Tulip, Memories of the Sword) and Jung So-min (Golden Slumber, Twenty).

 

During the Joseon dynasty Huh Saek (Lee) is born and raised in the house of a gisaeng and decides that he will become the first male gisaeng. He is highly successful and captivates countless clients with his handsome looks and artistic talents. Even though he is popular with many woman, he however begins to doubt the existence of true love. Then one day he meets Hae-won (Jung), who has progressive ideas totally unlike other women. And he gradually falls in love with her.
