Marking the directorial debut of veteran scriptwriter Na Hyun, this cleverly penned tale centres on a troubled ex-cop whose life takes a dark turn after a car accident. Set against the backdrop of a high security prison, the gritty crime actioner boasts an elite cast with Kim Rae-won starring as the officer who lands in jail and Han Seok-kyu as a dangerous inmate. Yu-gon (Kim), a former police inspector, is sentenced to prison after being involved in a hit-and-run, placing him in a confined place with inmates that he himself put behind bars.
While inside, he discovers that the entire penitentiary is not controlled by the wardens or guards but by Ik-ho (Han), a dangerous criminal who heads up a gang operating inside the prison walls. Seeking revenge for his imprisonment, Yu-gon joins the syndicate but with every man for himself soon realises he’s entered a dark and dangerous world.
