Dancing Elephant

(跳舞吧!大象)

Synopsis:

Director and actor Lin Yu-Hsien (Fan gun ba! Na hai) achieved notable success with his 2011 film Jump Ashin! which focused on the topic of gymnastics. He now has turned to ballet in the comedy-drama Dancing Elephant which has Jin Chunhua in its leading role along with Ai Lun (Never Say Die, Vanguard) and Peng Yang (Moment in Peking).

After a car accident, 13-year-old Li Chunxia (Jin) falls into a coma. Almost by miracle she finally regains consciousness after 15 years, only to realise her life has changed dramatically – her mind remains that of a 13-year-old girl while her body is that of a 200-pound adult nicknamed “elephant”. With her childhood dream of becoming a dancer and performing Swan Lake still very much alive, she tries every way possible to get back on stage assisted by three other “swans” and a quirky mentor Pi Baoshi (Ai).
