Chasing The Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch

(追龍II:賊王)

Synopsis:

Directed by the prolific Wong Jing (Hong Kong Ghost Stories) and cinematographer Jason Kwan (Cold War), the first Chasing the Dragon film was a remarkably successful retro crime thriller set in 1990’s Hong Kong. Chasing The Dragon II: Wild Wild Bunch, which is also set in the mid-1990’s, stars an impressive line-up of Hong Kong acting talent such as Tony Leung Ka-fai (The Lover, Cold War), Lam Ka Tung (Infernal Affairs), Simon Yam (Naked Killer) and Louis Koo (Election).

In pre-handover Hong Kong, criminal genius Logan (Leung) savages the territory with a series of notorious crimes. He kidnaps the first-born sons of prominent Hong Kong families who pay Logan a huge ransom and promise not to report the case to the police. But the police forces of Hong Kong and Mainland China are highly concerned with Logan and send Sky (Koo), a Hong Kong undercover agent, to infiltrate Logan’s gang. Fearless and intelligent, Sky manages to get close to Logan and quietly awaits the opportune moment to take action.
