Synopsis:

Directed by the Oscar-nominated cinematographer, Lü Yue, and produced by renowned filmmaker, Feng Xiaogang, Lost, Found is a remake of the 2016 South Korean film, Missing. It tells the story of a working-class woman, portrayed by Yao Chen (Journey to the West 2), fighting for custody of her daughter while a nanny, played by Ma Yili (Cold War), helps take care of the child.  With an intriguing plot, the film sheds light on the challenges modern women face in striking a balance between family and career. The film premiered at the 21st Shanghai International Film Festival and has received critical acclaim from around the region.

Working hard to support her family, single mother Li Jie (Yao) is fighting her ex-husband over the custody of their daughter. Luckily she has a helpful nanny, Sun Fang (Ma), to help her look after the child. One day after work, Li Jie finds both her daughter and Sun Fang missing. Blamed by her family for the child’s disappearance and suspected of wrongdoing by the police, Li suffers an emotional breakdown. Then, she learns that nothing she previously knew about Sun Fang is true…
