Directed and written by award-winning director Jevons Au (Trivisa, 2016), Distinction is an engaging and inspirational social drama set around a Hong Kong special educational needs school.  The assembled cast features top talents of the industry including veteran actress Jo Koo (The Longest Summer, 1998), HKFA Best New Performer nominee Jennifer Yu (Men on the Dragon, 2018) and rising star Kaki Sham (Weeds on Fire, 2016).

Ms. Tsui (Koo), a music teacher in a special education needs school, is tired of constant pressure and is considering moving to a position in a mainstream school.  Zoey (Yu) is an underachieving student who is facing pressure to get into a top university.  Ka Ho (Sham) is a rebellious teenager who neglects his studies in order to sell stolen mobile phones and has little time for his mentally disabled brother.

An end of term musical brings these three very different individuals together. As unlikely friendships develop, each find themselves on a journey of self discovery allowing them to reach out towards their dreams and goals.
