Paws-Men

(毛俠)

Synopsis:

With his aim of raising public awareness of animal rights, director Au Cheuk Man (The Gigolo, 2016) present Paws-Men, an appealing family drama chronicling three real-life stories of animal rescue in Hong Kong. The engaging production features an all-star cast of Hong Kong favourites including Bob Lam (77 Heartbreaks, 2017), Tats Lau (Ip Man 3, 2015), Chan Lai Wan (The Way We Are, 2009), Isabel Chan (Love Off the Cuff, 2012) and Lam Yiu Sing (Weeds on Fire, 2015) as well as some very special canine friends.

Four kind souls, Tat Yan (Chan), Charlie (On), Seal (Au) and Keith (Lee) form “Paws-Men”, a group tasked with rescuing dogs in need. Their work takes them far and wide – saving animals who appear to be on the menu of a café owned by Fat Ball (Lam), from bully Lau Ya Chuen (Lam) who makes every effort to have neighbourhood dogs destroyed and from Madam Three (Chan), an elderly shopkeeper who keeps her pet permanently in chains.  Rescuing these creatures is never an easy mission but the “Paws-Men” always manage to find a way, bringing positive change to not only the animal’s life but also joy to their own.
