“The Bold, The Corrupt and The Beautiful” is a gripping suspense drama by director YANG Ya-Che (“Gf*Bf”, 2012).  While the film portrays the culture of collusion, corruption and hypocrisy, the main theme it brings about is the manipulative nature of a person over the others.  With a twist plot and the powerful performance of Kara WAI (“At The End of Daybreak”, 2009), WU Ke-Xi ( “Ice Poison”, 2014) and Vicky CHEN (“Blood of Youth”, 2016), the film receives 7 nominations for the 54th Golden Horse Awards and ends up claiming three of the biggest ones, including the Best Feature Film, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actress. It is also voted by the audience as the best film of the year.
