Synopsis:

From the outstanding one-woman theatrical play that debuted in 2005 and was revived again for an instantly sold-out second run, this smash hit is now adapted into Kearen Pang’s first feature film. A modern comedy about two women who have reached life’s crossroads as they approach their landmark 30th birthday, this multi-award-winning film has gained attention as the closing film for the 13th Hong Kong Asian Film Festival, garnering the 2017 Directors’ Choice Awards in the 23rd Sedona International Film Festival, the Audience Award at the 12 Osaka Asian Film Festival, and was nominated for Best Foreign Language Feature Film, Best Director of a Foreign Language Feature Film, Best Original Screenplay of a Foreign Language Feature Film, and Best Supporting Actress in a Foreign Language Film at the Nice International Film Festival 2017.

Christy Lam (Chrissie Chau) is a typical city girl born and raised in Hong Kong. Just one month from turning 30, she has the same struggles shared by most girls of the same age: immense stress at work, her aging but annoying parents, and her seemingly stable yet stagnant relationship.

Wong Tin-Lok (Joyce Cheng), on the other hand, is also turning 30 soon, but leads a vastly different life. She has never been in love, and her job is taking her nowhere. Nevertheless, she is brimming full of optimism. On the verge of her next chapter, she makes a bold decision to pack up her bags and fulfill her childhood dream of visiting Paris.

As fate would have it, Christy makes a temporary move into Wong’s apartment. Through exploring this stranger’s diary, Christy not only discovers that they share the same birthday, but also learns about the bits and pieces of Wong's life.

As their virtual bond grows, Christy begins to appreciate Wong's alternate approach to life, so much so that it becomes an integral part of Christy's own. Who has entered whose world?
